Hi, I'm Andy

I spent 17 years leading ensemble teams at one of Chicago's premier live theaters. Night afternight, I watched what happened when talented people trusted each other enough to do theirbest work together and what happened when they didn't. That experience shaped everythingabout how I work with executive teams today. I created The Six Shifts™ because mostleadership teams have the talent, the strategy, and the ambition — but they don't have the trust the candor, or the shared accountability to execute together. I work with CEOs and theirleadership teams to close that gap. Not with a one-off workshop. With a system that changeshow the team operates every day, in every meeting, on every decision.

The Five Signs Your Leadership Team Is the Bottleneck

Silent Agreement

Meetings end with nods, but follow-through dies. No one actually committed — they juststopped pushing back. The real conversations happen in hallways, side chats, and not at all.

Silo Execution

Departments protect turf. Handoffs fail. Each leader runs their function like a separate company. Nothing moves forward together because no one owns what happens between the silos.

Leadership Bottlenecks

Everything runs through one or two people. The CEO can't let go because they don't trust the team to execute. The result: leaders stuck in operations instead of driving strategy.

Firefighting Culture

The team reacts to whatever's loudest instead of executing on strategy. No one protects time for what matters because urgency always wins.

Misalignment on Priorities

Everyone thinks they know the plan, but when pushed, each leader describes a different version. The team is running hard in different directions.

Working on Yourself as a Leader?

Sometimes the work starts with you.

You're Carrying It Alone
You make the hard calls, but you have no peers who really get it. No one to stress-test decisions with or admit when you're in over your head.
You're Always Reacting
Fires keep erupting. You handle them, but you can't get ahead of them. The urgent always wins, and the strategic work never happens.
You Can't Let Go
Your team is capable, but you're still in the weeds. You know you should delegate more, but when you do, it doesn't get done the way it needs to be.
You're Doubting Yourself
You question every decision. The inner critic is loud. You wonder if you're actually cut out for this role, even though you know rationally you are.
You Can't Turn It Off
Work follows you home. Your mind races at night. You're never fully present with familybecause you're still solving problems in your head.
I highly recommend hiring Andy to help you get through your next challenge, to help you achieve the next great thing, and to help you become a better version of yourself. I promise he will do great things and help you elevate to a level you thought was impossible.‍
